The Lion King has been re-released as part of Disney's Signature Collection as of August 2017.
I would be so grateful if you can help me obtain dubs (or information about dubs) I don't yet have!
Thank you for visiting!

I have been a fan of The Lion King since it first came out in theaters. It is my all-time favorite movie.
I’ve been collecting dubs of The Lion King since around late 2004. When The Lion King was first released on DVD in 2003 I fell in love with the Multi-Language Reel special feature. I was taking an International Business course in school at the time and my newfound interest in different countries and languages sparked the enthusiasm for this project.
I collect the dubs in physical formats (DVD, Blu-ray, VCD, etc), rather than digital files. I acquired the dubs that I own through my international friends, acquaintances in internet communities, online stores and auction sites, and through my own travels. For me, the fun of this project is the process of locating the physical DVDs, communicating with people around the world, and receiving new DVDs in the mail. I get to learn all sorts of things from the people through whom I get the DVDs, and when they ask for goods/food/candy in return for the DVD it’s fun to hear about the things they want to try or experience from my country.
In addition to showcasing my collection, I made this website to serve as a case study of one particular film’s dubbing process and scope. It is not as simple (as I originally thought) as collecting a set amount of dubs made by Disney of this film. The film is dubbed into new languages with each release, re-dubs of various languages are made with some new releases, some languages only get officially-produced voice-overs (one narrator translating all of the characters’ dialog over the original English language track) instead of full dubs, some dubs are made for TV broadcast only, unofficial dubs are made by fans or companies unaffiliated with Disney, and so on. On this website, I share all the information I can possibly find or learn about the dubs of Disney’s The Lion King.
I hope other collectors and fans find this website useful and informative. Any help with my collection – either new information or help acquiring a dub I don’t yet own – would be greatly appreciated! Likewise, I am happy to help others with their collections.
